As I am constantly being reminded, there are now only days – not months or weeks, but days – left until W Day. Looking back over the last year of posts, I realise I have shared with you my fears and thoughts about everything from flower arrangements to menu stands, but not once have I delved deeper into the bigger issues. Well now is as good a time as any – so let’s do this.

Brides – know your limits

OK, call me slow on the uptake, but – after reading countless wedding magazines/blogs and attending a fair few nuptials – it has only just hit me how male-dominated the world of the wedding breakfast speech is.

Beyond retro

Every bridal magazine I pick up, I am confronted by gushes of: “We chose a vintage theme for our day.” In fact, looking back has never been so now – and it seems every wedding is turning its back on the contemporary and taking a trip back in time.
